Pratt Library offers services and resources in support of education and research in a hybrid in-person/virtual environment. The collection has 184,000+ total items, including 34,000+ printed books, 151,000+ eBooks, 400+ multimedia resources, electronic access to thousands of journal publications, and a carefully curated collection of free web resources. The Goddard Authors Special Collection inclu

des 1,900+ titles by faculty, staff, trustees, current students, and alumni. The Archives house a collection of documents and artifacts about the history of Goddard College. Orion Magazine & PEN America Present: Writers from Wartime Ukraine
This free online event presents four writers in conversation about writing in a time of crisis, literacy as an act of resistance, and the search for meaning and community in wartime Ukraine. Their work appeared in Orion's Winter 2022 issue. The panel will include Ilya Kaminsky, Elena Andreychykova, Ludmila Khersonsky, & Zarina Zabrisky. Moderating the event will be Liesl Gerntholtz, the Inaugural Director of the PEN/Barbey Freedom to Write Center.

Vermont Humanities presents, “The Other Side of Hope:” Films About Immigration, a Zoom event, January 4, 2023: 7:00 pm.

Filmmakers have tackled issues of displacement, discrimination, exploitation, and assimilation in movies like Mississippi Masala (about Indians in the Deep South), The Other Side of Hope (Syrians in Finland) and Dirty Pretty Things (West Africans in London.) Film history expert Rick Winston shares clips from fifteen works that address one of the most pressing issues of our times.
