Celebrating World Ranger Day 💚🌍🌳

Today we honor the dedicated professionals who protect natural and cultural resources around the world. Among this esteemed group are the rangers who make up Georgia’s State Parks and Historic Sites. Every day, our rangers share the wonders of nature and help preserve the past. They lead Junior Ranger camps, repair broken water lines in campgrounds and conduct prescribed burns for healthy forests. Rangers show up – in rain, in snow, in heat – serving a greater purpose of stewardship. First organized by the International Ranger Federation, World Ranger Day also honors those who have made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting visitors and resources.

If you see a park ranger today, join us in saying “Thank you!”.
