This week, CASA Week at The Lands at Hillside Farms Grief Camp was filled with joy, healing, connection, and unforgettable experiences.💙🦋

Throughout the week, our youth had the opportunity to explore nature, care for animals, learn about healthy food choices, build reading skills, and create meaningful memories with new friends. Each activity offered a chance to learn, grow, laugh, and simply enjoy being a kid in a safe and supportive environment.

We’re incredibly grateful to all of the volunteers, staff, and community partners who helped make this special week possible. Your time, compassion, and dedication created moments that our youth will carry with them long after camp comes to an end.

The week came to a beautiful close with a butterfly release—a powerful reminder of growth, hope, remembrance, and the healing journey. 🦋

Trained community members like you are appointed by judges to advocate for children who have experienced abuse or neglect. No legal background is required, just a commitment to showing up for a child who needs you.

Today is Court Appointed Special Advocates Day in Pennsylvania, designated by the Pennsylvania House of Representatives through House Resolution 480.

"CASA is a network of 21 local programs in 32 counties in Pennsylvania. These programs, comprised of more than 1,000 volunteers, advocate for more than 2,000 children who have been subjected to abuse as well as neglect. These volunteers work to ensure that children's needs are met while in the dependency system, as well as assisting in obtaining safe and permanent housing." — State Rep. Jeanne McNeill, prime sponsor
