🎶🦅 3rd Grade Music: Learning Through Song! 🦅🎶

Our 3rd grade students are exploring the beautiful Renaissance motet “Dona Nobis Pacem” (Grant Us Peace)!

Students are learning the first counterpart, experiencing how different vocal parts come together to create harmony and a beautiful musical conversation.

Through this piece, students are also being introduced to word painting—where the music reflects the meaning of the words—while exploring vocal movement through the use of vowels.

What a wonderful way to experience music history while developing musical skills, listening, teamwork, and confidence!

What a great start to the athletic season at Plainview Classical Academy!

We are so proud of the hard work, dedication, teamwork, and perseverance our athletes are demonstrating both on and off the field.

✏️🧪 Pencil vs. Sandwich Bag Experiment! 🧪✏️

Science got a little exciting in 7th grade today! Our students put their predictions to the test with a pencil and sandwich bag experiment.

The challenge: How many pencils can you push through a water-filled sandwich bag without it leaking? 💧✏️

Our students tested, observed, and learned through hands-on experimentation—and the competition was definitely on!

🏆 Today's record: 25 pencils! 🎉

We love seeing our students engaged in science through curiosity, experimentation, and a little friendly competition!

🔬🌿 5th Grade Science: Learning Outside the Classroom! 🌿🔬

Our 5th grade scientists took their learning outdoors for an observation lab!

Instead of simply reading about the world around them, students had the opportunity to observe, investigate, ask questions, and record what they discovered firsthand.

Hands-on experiences like these help students develop important scientific skills while encouraging curiosity, careful observation, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.

➗📚 Our 1st Grade Math Scholars! 📚➗

Math comes alive at Plainview Classical Academy! Our 1st grade students are building strong mathematical foundations while learning to think critically, solve problems, and explain their reasoning.

At PCA, we want students to understand why math works—not simply memorize how to get an answer. Through challenging problems, discussion, and hands-on learning, our students are developing confidence and perseverance as mathematicians.

🐷🦅 Learning Comes to Life at PCA! 🦅🐷

What better way to learn about animals than to meet them up close? Our Kindergarten students had some very special visitors Friday—baby pigs! 🐖💕

A huge THANK YOU to Mr. Dan Patterson for bringing these adorable little pigs to campus and helping make our Kindergarten Science lesson an experience our students won't soon forget!

Hands-on learning gives students the opportunity to observe, ask questions, make connections, and experience science beyond the pages of a textbook.

There were plenty of smiles, excitement, and curious little scientists on campus today! 🔬🐷

🦅📚 High School Morning Assembly 📚🦅

Each morning at Plainview Classical Academy, our high school students begin the day together with purpose and focus during Morning Assembly.

This time provides an opportunity for students to gather as a community, receive important announcements, reflect on our shared mission, and prepare their minds for a day of learning. Morning Assembly helps foster school unity, encourage personal responsibility, and reinforce the virtues that are central to a classical education.

By starting the day together, students are reminded that they are part of something greater than themselves—a community committed to pursuing knowledge, promoting virtue, and striving for excellence.
