Wednesday, April 22, PEM High School will host a Mock Crash Simulation for students in grades 10–12. This event is a collaboration with multiple local law enforcement and first responder agencies to demonstrate the real-life consequences of distracted and impaired driving.
You will hear sirens and see emergency vehicles going to back of the Plainview campus.

Public Notice - Snow Emergency Issued for the City of Plaiview.
With the amount of snow being forecasted, the City has issued a snow emergency that will take effect Sunday, March 15, 2026 at 2:00 a.m. No parking on city streets.

Update Regarding Reported Threats to the P.E.M. School District

Following a thorough investigation, it has been determined that no threats were made against the P.E.M. School District, its students, or its staff.

The investigation revealed that two separate, unrelated incidents occurred around the same time:
• a fight at the school, and
• a separate incident involving threats of violence not connected to the school district.

The threat of violence was not directed at the school district, any students, or staff members. During the chain of communication, a misunderstanding occurred, which resulted in inaccurate information spreading rapidly through social media platforms.

Law enforcement would like to thank the many individuals who came forward to share information, as well as the P.E.M. School District for their prompt cooperation and assistance throughout the investigation. Their cooperation and assistance were instrumental in allowing law enforcement to quickly determine the facts and ensure the safety of the community.

We are aware of the threats made against the P.E.M school district and are taking this matter very seriously. Our staff has begun an investigation, but we need your assistance to ensure a thorough and accurate process.

While we have already spoken with several individuals who heard about the threats, we are now seeking witnesses who either:

* Personally saw the specific threat made by the suspect, or
* Heard the suspect make the threat in person.

Snow Emergency Issued for the City of Plainview.

Tuesday, December 16, 2025, the Plainview Police Department assisted the Rochester Police Department in executing two search warrants within the city of Plainview. These warrants were connected to an armed robbery that occurred two weeks ago in Rochester. Due to the suspect’s violent history, the Rochester SWAT team was deployed to ensure the safety of all involved. The individual was taken into custody without incident.
