Ellie Eidenschink. I have been a lifeguard for 9 years
What inspired you to become a lifeguard?
I loved coming to the pool as a kid and I always looked up to the guards. So when I turned 15 it was a no brainer
What do you enjoy most about working at the pool?
I enjoy getting to meet and work with so many kiddos, being by the water, and in the sun!
What’s your favorite memory from your time as a lifeguard?
Staff pool parties
What do you like to do when you're not working?
I enjoy reading, going for walks, and ice cream runs
If you could have any superpower while lifeguarding, what would it be?
Super speed at swimming

DQ ice cream cone with sprinkles

Matti, its my first year being a lifeguard.

2.) What inspired you to become a lifeguard?
I was inspired growing up since I took lessons at the Plainview pool and my joy for helping others.

3.) What do you enjoy most about working at the pool?
I enjoy the atmosphere and being apart of the community.

4.) What’s your favorite memory from your time as a lifeguard?
When I was getting trained in and when it was raining during a night shift.

5.) What do you like to do when you’re not working?
I enjoy going to the beach, having bonfires, and hanging out with my friends.

6.) If you could have any superpower while lifeguarding, what would it be?
I would want to be able to breath underwater.

7.) Do you have a favorite snack or drink after a hot day on the stand?
A cold energy drink!
