Update: Collar has been returned to the owner.

Has your favorite dog suddenly become a little more vocal? It might be because it lost it's bark collar. A collar was located in Plainville this morning and dropped off at our office. If this collar belongs to you, contact us and we'll get it back to you.

A ride in a Plainville Police Department patrol vehicle was recently auctioned off at the Sacred Heart Grade School Benefit Auction. Junior Officer Hudson H. cashed in on his prize yesterday, enjoying a ride to and from school with Chief Rudman. They even picked up a couple of extra 'suspects' for a ride home. A fun time for everyone and thanks Hudson for being a great partner yesterday!

These three book bags containing a water bottle, crayons, colored pencils and notebook were graciously dropped off at the Plainville Police Department by a very kind individual in hopes we could get them to three children that could use them. If you know of anyone who is in need of them, please give us a call or stop by and see us. We'd be more than happy to give these to three children that are in need of one!

Plainville Parents: Let's Keep Our Kids Safe on City Streets!

We need your help to ensure the safety of all children in Plainville. There's been a noticeable increase in underage drivers operating off-road vehicles (like golf carts, ATVs, SXS and 4-wheelers) on our city streets, which creates serious safety concerns.
Please remember the rules for operating these vehicles in Plainville:

• Drivers must be 16 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• The vehicle must have full liability insurance.
• Must have a DOT approved helmet and eye protection
• Must obey all Traffic Ordinances.

These rules are in place to protect everyone. If an underage driver is caught, parents and children can face citations.

Thank you for partnering with us to keep Plainville safe for everyone!
