PLAISTOW, NH – Extremely hot and humid temperatures will continue today lasting through Tuesday evening. Daytime temperatures will be very hot with heat indices in the low 100’s. A heat advisory has been issued through Tuesday at 8 PM, as temperatures and heat indices during this time are expected to be very high. Overnight temperatures in the 70’s will provide little overnight relief from daytime temperatures. Please call the Plaistow Emergency Communications Center at 603-382-5200 and ask to speak with Emergency Management if you need assistance.

RR SIGNAL LIGHTS AT MAIN ST - NOT WORKING

There is an issue with the railroad crossing lights on Main Street (144 Main St). Railroad personnel are currently stopping traffic by hand.

Dispatch is aware of the situation.

Please use caution in this area until the issue is resolved.

What is CERT?

CERT, the Community Emergency Response Team is a group of citizen volunteers who are trained in emergency preparedness for disasters or other incidents that may impact our community.

The training program educates team members about overall emergency preparedness and basic disaster response skills such as fire suppression, light search and rescue, team organization and disaster medical operations.
