🎨 Plano ISD Greeting Card Contest 💌

The Greeting Card Contest is the first of three events students can complete this year to earn the HEArt of Andrews Award! ❤️🦅

Students may participate in either the Kindness Card Contest OR the Holiday Greeting Card Contest to receive credit toward the award.

4th Grade made an amazing comeback and tied with 3rd Grade for the most PTA memberships! ❤️💙

That means BOTH 3rd & 4th Grade will be treated to Popsicle Parties! 🥳🍦 The party date will be announced soon!

Today was our first College T-shirt Wednesday of the school year! On the first Wednesday of every month, our Eagles rep their favorite colleges and universities!

🧂💧 What happens when you mix salt and water? Mrs. Rains’s 5th graders investigated!

🔎 Students observed the salt and water separately, then combined them to see what changed. They discovered that salt is soluble in water, creating a saltwater solution!

A little salt, a little water, and a whole lot of scientific thinking! 🧑🏽‍🔬📝👩🏻‍🔬

➕ Math in action across Andrews! 🦅

✨ Mrs. Brooks’ 1st graders used ten frames and counters to build math equations, then kept the learning going with Amplify center games! 🎲❤️

✨ Mrs. Sly’s 2nd graders put their math skills to work by using strip diagrams to represent numbers in different ways. ✏️🔢

Different strategies, same goal: building strong mathematicians! 🌟
