❤💙Adoption Success Story💙❤
"Una is almost 3 years old and 100% Husky. She is smart, can be a bit stubborn, but is also very affectionate, providing lots of kisses and companionship. She is often sleeping directly under her dad’s feet. She often entertains herself by sunning in the backyard and playing with tennis balls exhibiting great footwork and soccer skills.

As a Husky, Una has the strong escape/run tendency but she’s gotten quite good at “sit” and “stay” when the front door is being opened and will even come in from the backyard when called. She is a morning howler when hungry or feeling sassy.

She loves movie nights on the sofa with mom and dad and wrestling with her younger brother, Finnegan, a Chow-Husky mix. The two of them spend their days rough-playing in the back yard, taking long walks and napping side-by-side. They have developed a knack for mirroring each other’s posture when lying around and sleeping. It’s quite cute.

She has been a wonderful “dog”hter and rewards us every day!"

💙❤Adoption Success Story❤💙
"Our other kitty seemed a bit lonely while my husband and I were going to work from 8 to 5, so we wanted to adopt a feline sibling for him. When we went to the Plano shelter, we went in with the idea that we were just looking. But then we laid eyes on Connor (Popeye at the time). He was so small and had a pretty severe injury on his eye since it was very pink and swollen. One of the volunteers told us that he was already neutered as a family adopted him before but returned him after a week. This broke our hearts, so we asked to spend some time with him to see if he would be a good fit. He was very loving, rubbing against our legs in the playroom and vocal with his meowing, trilling and purring.
We immediately adopted him and took him home.
After about 3 days of slowly introducing both cats, they began to play with each other like brothers, and that's been the story ever since.
Connor loves to hunt. Despite one of his eyes not working too well, he is a much better hunter than our other cat. Connor is obsessed with my husband. He will get into his lap and rub his face and against my husband's face and sleep hugging my husband's head at night. Once Connor trusts you, he will rub against you, trill towards you and bump his head against yours. Connor loves to explore. He's very much the type to go to every nook and cranny to make sure he's not missing out on anything."

💙❤️Adoption Success Story❤️💙
"We adopted Cow in 2013. He was estimated to be about 8 weeks old. My son, Christopher, who was going into first grade at the time, used about $9 of his saved up money to help with the adoption fee (Mom paid the rest). Cow has had a vengeance for the Elf on the Shelf since that first Christmas. He goes after him as soon as he discovers him at our house! The Elf has to be creative to hide where Cow can’t drag him off. Cow has grown up, along with Christopher, who is now going into high school. There are times he is still mischievous, but he much prefers to be a lap cat these days. He loves his adopted sister, Caramel, and he also has a new human baby brother.”

💙❤️Adoption Success Story❤️💙
"We adopted Lola (formerly Bella) in April 2017, and it's been so rewarding seeing her grow into a more confident kitty. When we first got her, she was very scared of cat toys and anything that made noise and would run away and hide; now, she'll go into the toy box herself to select her favorite to play with. Although always affectionate, Lola was initially super skittish and shy around us; now, she is social, engaging and loves to tell us "hi" in her quirky little way when she enters a room. She's my husband's cuddle buddy at night and professional bird/squirrel watcher by day. She's an adorable little weirdo, an absolute joy, and we are so fortunate to have found her."

💙❤️Adoption Success Story❤️💙
"My wife and I were looking for kittens, so we decided to visit quite a few times in May and early June. We went to the Plano Animal Shelter and saw that the kittens were moved into the bigger spaces. My wife and I wrote down the space numbers and some descriptions of the kitten, so we knew who to ask about. For our kitten, we had written down “little fat head, black fluff.” So we decided to revisit the first week of June and ask about the kitten. He had recently passed his assessments and was up for adoption. So that day, we decided to adopt our now Tito! He LOVES playing with all his toys! Tito enjoys cuddling and being around his mom and dad!"

There were two cats surrendered to the shelter named Tatum and little man I was wondering if anyone adopted them and how they were doing ?
DRAX IS STILL LOST! Please, please, please... if anyone lives near Park & Ohio or if you know anyone that does - ask them if they have seen Drax, have them ask their friends and neighbors!!! I really think someone took him... apparently it may have been a teenage girl. My brother desperately needs his emotional support dog back!!!! He has scars on his rear leg/ hip area from a previous surgery. Black & tan adult neutered male chiweeni (chihuahua x dachshund mix). Very friendly, loves to play with other dogs, even big ones.
Could this be our Eva?
This sweet girl wandered onto our yard today. She had a leash but no collar. We would love to find her owners. We're between Christie Elementary and Carpenter Middle School.
We adopted Eleonor, now Nutella, November 2019. I would like her former foster mom to know that she is doing great and has a furever home. The foster mom told us that she spent a lot of time with the family dog. We can tell. She wants to play fetch all the time and attacks our senior cat like a little pitbull. Thank you for all the work you guys do at the shelter.
An unknown cat just had 4 kittens (1 black, one grey/black and 2 orange/white) in our doghouse on the back porch. They appear to be about a couple weeks old. I noticed a grey and black cat staying in our back yard the last week and my Shi-tzu kept barking the other day and I looked in the dog house and there was a cat with 4 kittens in the dog house. I put some food out because not sure if it belongs to someone in the neighborhood or it was dropped off. She ate some of it. This morning I put out some fresh food but she has been gone all day so not sure if she has abandoned them or a dog, car, or coyote may have killed her. She was with them all night. Do you rescue cats or little kittens? Please call or email me ASAP and hopefully you can rescue them or let me know who I can call. Thanks, Ron
This sweet girl was found on June 5, 2021 in Plano, TX 75074 near Park and Juniper.. trying to reunite her with her family!
I just wanted to thank Plano animal shelter! We had such a hard time finding a dog to adopt. Everyone always got there before we did but we were lucky enough to adopt Suki March 2021 She came home a little rough and a bit untrusting. She is now flourishing and such a loving sassy dog 🐶
How are you letting something like this go on in your town?😠
BIG WEATHER POSSIBLE. BRING IN YOUR PETS TODAY/TONIGHT!
