5th Grade Scientists at Work! 🧪Our 5th graders put their scientific thinking to the test as they investigated a simple but intriguing question: Will sand, sugar, salt, or cornstarch dissolve in water?

Students made observations, tested each substance, compared results, and used evidence to determine what happens when different materials are mixed with water. 🔍 Hands-on investigations like this turn curiosity into discovery and give our students the chance to think, test, observe, and explain! 💡 Plano Independent School District

Fentanyl is mixed into counterfeit pills, powders, and even vapes- often without the user knowing. 💡 PACE Referrals for the 2026–2027 school year are now open! PACE, Plano Academic and Creative Education, is Plano ISD’s gifted and talented education program. PACE provides a motivating and challenging learning environment designed to nurture the unique academic and social-emotional needs of students requiring gifted and talented services, with a focus on gifted academic experiences and personal development.

✏️ Families who would like their student to be considered for PACE services may now submit a referral.

📅 Referral deadline: Friday, October 9 at 5:00 PM

From professional illustration and international teaching experience to a decade spent working with young children, these three bring such a unique mix of creativity, experience, warmth, and heart to Bethany.

📣 Bethany Parents: We’d love your voice on our SBIC! Bethany Elementary is currently seeking parent volunteers to serve on our School-Based Improvement Committee (SBIC) for the 2026–2027 school year. SBIC brings together parents, staff, and community members to help review and support Bethany’s Campus Improvement Plan and our continued work toward student success.
