We ended a great Texas LAFS 2024 Conference hosted by Coppell Fire Department City of Coppell Texas with an amazing special award earned by are very own Jeff Bates.
Jeff's dedication over the last 25 plus years in Community Outreach through not only our Plano LAFS group and Plano Fire-Rescue, but at the various conferences he has taught at while helping countless programs grow. Almost everyone in our fun little society of public safety Outreach folks have been taught or helped by Jeff in some way or another. We are thankful for all he does for our City of Plano, Texas Government community. Jeff is very well deserving of such an award, even if he only pushes one button (lol).
Thank you Jeff, we literally could not accomplish all the safety messages without you and your singular button.

Properly installed and maintained smoke alarms are essential in reducing fire-related deaths and injuries. Remember to test your smoke alarm monthly by pressing the test button. Remember, smoke alarms are constantly monitoring. By doing this smoke alarms need yearly battery changes as well as an end of service after 10 years. Make sure you stay proactive in your smoke alarm maintenance and upkeep for you and your families safety.
