We were honored to have a special visitor yesterday…Chief Carlo! He came to be our Chief for a Day. He began by meeting with Chief Todd, picked up his clipboard of tasks, and got to work. He received quick HQ tour, and met with all our staff. He met with one of our inspectors, assisted the Rescue 56 crew with their daily checkout, got an update on our drone program, and personally rode on Engine 56 to verify its fitness for response. After a brief stop in the mechanic’s bay to check on our repair processes, Chief Carlo received his official certificate from Chief Todd. He did an outstanding job, and asked fantastic questions. We wish Chief Carlo all the best, and hope to see him again soon!

🚨🚨 Part 2 of asking our Fire Administration the question everyone wants to know… 😂

“Which co-worker would a kidnapper give back?”

Last night at the City Council meeting the Mayor & Council recognized three dedicated individuals whose years of service have made a lasting impact on the City of Plantation and our Fire Department.

Congratulations to Deputy Chief Irlado Curbelo on an incredible 30 years of service, and to Willie Reguera on 20 years of dedicated service.

Thank you both for your commitment, professionalism, and the many years you have devoted to serving our community.

We also congratulate Frank DiLoreto on his retirement after 16 years of service to the City of Plantation IT Dept, assigned to the Fire Department.

Frank, thank you for everything you have done behind the scenes to support our department and the people who serve our community every day.

Collectively, they represents 66 years of service to our city!

Congratulations to all three, and Frank, we wish you a very happy and well-deserved retirement! 🎉

🚨 We asked Fire Administration the question everyone wants to know… 😂

“Which co-worker would a kidnapper give back?” 👀

Apparently, some of us are getting returned immediately—no questions asked. 🤣

🇺🇸 Thank you to our Plantation Fire Department members who traveled to New York City to represent our department at the 25th Anniversary 9/11 Memorial.

Your presence helped honor the lives lost, the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice, and a promise we will always keep — Never Forget. 🇺🇸
