I know that Mayor Sortal, Councilmembers Reinstein, Andreu and I were more than happy to assist. Much gratitude to Superintendent Howard Hepburn for his public commitment to ensuring the South Plantation High School theatre program has lights for their next production.  I cannot wait to see the students shine as they perform Macbeth in November! 🎭

What a pleasure to hear Det. Courtney Fish honored this morning as Plantation Police Department Officer of the Month.

Det. Fish, who started as a Road Patrol Officer, demonstrated great tenacity in her investigative work over the course of five months solving a homicide/robbery case which successfully ended with the indictment of four suspects.

Congratulations to Det. Fish on her well-deserved recognition, and thank you to the many men and women of Plantation PD who assisted in this case.

I always enjoy spending time with the Women of Lauderdale West, they have fun at their luncheons and ask the best questions! This afternoon we had an informative discussion on Amendment 3, stormwater, FreeBee, development, and you guessed it, blue bags!

I was happy to play a small part in reconnecting the solar car program at South Plantation High School to its founders, and proud to sponsor a proclamation recognizing their win at the National Solar Car Challenge in Texas!
