Today, on Memorial Day, we pause to remember the true meaning of this solemn holiday. 🇺🇸

Freedom is not free. It has been secured, defended, and preserved by generations of Americans who answered the call to serve. All gave some, and some gave all.

Today, the Connecticut Young Republicans honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country - those who laid down their lives so that we may live in freedom, raise our families in peace, and continue the American experiment they gave everything to defend.

May we never forget their courage, their sacrifice, or the families who carry their memory forward.

This Memorial Day, we remember the fallen, honor their legacy, and remain forever grateful for the price they paid for our nation. 🙏🏼

Today, on Armed Forces Day, we honor the men and women currently serving in the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, United States Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, United States Space Force, and The National Guard. 🫡

Their service represents courage, discipline, sacrifice, and a deep commitment to defending our nation, our freedoms, and the security of the American people.

We are grateful to every service member, military family, and loved one who bears the responsibility of that service alongside them.

May we always remain thankful for those who stand ready to protect the United States of America! 🇺🇸

Today, on Peace Officers Memorial Day, we pause to honor the law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

These brave men and women served their communities with courage, answered the call in moments of danger, and gave their lives protecting others.

We remember their sacrifice, pray for their families, and stand with the fellow officers, departments, and communities who continue to carry their memory forward.

May we never forget those who gave everything in service to public safety, peace, and the protection of our communities. 🙏🏼

Today, we proudly commemorate Victory Day for World War II, marking the Allied victory in Europe and the defeat of N**i tyranny.

On May 8, 1945, Germany’s unconditional surrender brought one of history’s darkest chapters closer to an end. That victory was made possible by the courage, strength, and sacrifice of the American Armed Forces, our Allied partners, and the Greatest Generation.

More than 250,000 Americans lost their lives in the fight against N**i Germany. Today, we honor every patriot who served, every family who sacrificed, and every life lost in defense of freedom.

May we remain grateful for their courage, committed to peace through strength, and devoted to keeping America safe, strong, prosperous, and free.

Today is National Day of Prayer. 🙏🏼

This is a day for Americans across the country to pause, reflect, and pray for our nation, our communities, our leaders, and one another.

This year’s theme, “Glorify God Among the Nations, Seeking Him in All Generations,” reminds us of the importance of faith, humility, gratitude, and seeking wisdom across every generation.

May we continue to pray for strength, peace, and guidance as we work to build a stronger future for our families, our towns, our state, and our country.

Today we thank the nurses and healthcare workers who serve our communities with skill, patience, and compassion. From hospitals and clinics to schools, senior care, emergency response, and home care, nurses are often there during some of life’s most difficult and important moments. 🏥
