The City of Plaquemine is looking for a Deputy Clerk to join the City Clerk’s Office.

This position assists with daily office operations, works with the public, and supports the City Clerk’s Office.

As part of the regularly scheduled City Council meeting (to be held on September 8th, 2026, at 6 pm), the City of Plaquemine will be presenting an Electrical Utility Cost Analysis to the Council and to the public. All Plaquemine residents are invited and encouraged to attend.

Some Plaquemine residents are currently experiencing an outage due to a motor-vehicle accident on LA-1. Crews have arrived on scene and are actively working to make repairs at this time.

SCAM ALERT !!!!!!!

Some scammer is posing as Plaquemine City Light & Water employees trying to get personal bank account information. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!!! In fact, never give bank information to someone on the telephone unless YOU called THEM for a service. Please read the flyer attached. It is pretty self explanatory.
