What a fantastic day at our adoption event at Tractor Supply in Plaquemine! 🎉

We’re excited to share that Boosie and one adorable kitten found their forever homes. ❤️🐾

They wait the longest.
They get overlooked the fastest.

We are FULL of black dogs right now, and statistically they are some of the hardest to place. People scroll past them. Photos don’t always capture them well. They get labeled as “plain” before anyone even learns their amazing personalities.
But black dogs? They love just as hard. Maybe harder. They wag just as wildly. They become someone’s whole heart just the same.

Fees are WAIVED with approved application because THEY deserve it. Please share. Visit. Foster. Adopt.

Scooby was a shelter dog from our community that was saved with the help of Greater Good Charities and St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center. We are so grateful for these life saving partnerships. Scooby's positive story would not have been possible without his foster family. Fostering is invaluable step for shelter animals. Thank you Iberville Foster Families for stepping up for the unwanted pets in our community. Call the shelter to learn more about our foster program and how you too can save the lives!

Meet Athena, Persephone, Apollo, and Hecate. These chunky babies are growing faster than Louisiana weeds after a rainstorm 🌧️🌱 and they are going to need BIG dog homes with plenty of room to stretch those giant paws! We believe they are mastiff/lab mixes. If you’ve been looking for a future couch hog, backyard zoomie champion, or oversized cuddle monster… your new best friend might be waiting at the shelter.

✨ $100 Adoption Fee with approved application
✨ We WILL do weekend adoptions on this group by appointment only.

Please remember: these pups will NOT stay tiny for long. They’re built for the “large breed life” and need families ready for the commitment that comes with big dogs and even bigger love.
Come meet them before they grow into miniature horses.
