The Platte City Police Department congratulates Sergeant Mike Mand on successfully completing the FBI-LEEDA Command Leadership Institute, hosted by the Lee’s Summit Police Department in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. This intensive leadership program is designed to prepare law enforcement leaders for greater command responsibility while strengthening skills in organizational leadership, accountability, decision-making, team building, and leading positive change.

Sgt. Mand’s commitment to completing this training demonstrates his dedication to continued professional development and to becoming a stronger leader for the officers he serves alongside. The knowledge and leadership skills gained through this course will directly benefit the Platte City Police Department and, ultimately, the citizens we serve by helping ensure our department continues to develop capable, professional, and forward-thinking leaders.

Investing in the development of our supervisors and future command staff is an investment in the long-term strength of our department and the quality of service we provide to our community. We are proud of Sgt. Mand for his commitment to leadership and congratulate him on this significant accomplishment.

Buses are back! Protect the kids, the drivers, and your time from being spent in court.

🛑 Missouri law states that on a two-lane road, if a school bus is stopped and displaying warning signals, drivers must stop when meeting and following the bus.

TRAFFIC ALERT: PLATTE COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be closing Northwest Roanridge Road, under North Betel Road, for bridge maintenance, beginning Monday, August 17th until Friday, September 11th. Officer Hurd and Officer Shockley joined the community at the Mid-Continent Public Library last week for Story Time for Toddlers!
