Lots of vehicles need to be moved so the city can finish clearing the streets. Also there’s a few trailers that should be moved off the street entirely so it’s not a recurring issue for the rest of the winter. Thank you

On multiple occasions over the past couple of months, South Park has experienced graffiti and vandalism to the park equipment. Vulgarity and obscene drawings have been etched into the playground slides and floor of the band shell. South Park is a safe place for everyone to enjoy. We want to keep it that way. No one should have to see this, especially children. We are simply asking for it to stop and for anyone who sees this occurring, to report it immediately. Thank you

**SCAM ALERT**

Davison County Sheriff’s Office is aware of a letter being found in residents mailboxes, from a group called “Citizens Behind the Badge”. This group is asking for donations that will be sent to "Mitchell area police or police nationwide." It asks you to complete a survey that deals with defunding the police. The final part of it is a check attached to it. It asks you to return the check, along with your donation to "help provide bulletproof vests, ballistic helmets, and other lifesaving equipment and training to underfunded police agencies, free of charge." The group claims to be a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

After doing some research, as we have never heard of this group, it has been determined this is a scam. Please do not donate any money to this group. If you get this letter, please either throw it in the garbage or bring it to the Sheriff's Office. If you have any questions please contact the Sheriff's Office at 605-995-8630.

Update: Shutting down earlier than expected. Will happen at approximately 11am.

Main Ave. will be shut down at the 4th St. intersection for a short period of time this afternoon while Northwestern Energy installs a new power line. The exact time is TBD. Sorry for any inconvenience. Please share
