Today the National Weather Service has issued another Red Flag alert for our community. This means low humidity, elevated temperatures and high winds increase the risks for fires. Please, no burning.

Even with the rain storm the community experienced last night, the National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for the area. We are expecting warm weather conditions with high winds up to 60 mph. Please, no burning at this time.

A Tornado Watch will be in effect for areas primarily east of I-25, excluding some of the northeastern plains counties, through 9PM this evening. Tornadoes, very large hail, and strong winds will all be possible with today’s storms. Please stay weather aware today and have a plan in case a tornado or severe thunderstorm warning is issued!

Update 14:25- Crews are still on the scene with Mountain View Fire Rescue LaSalle Fire Protection District Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District Fort Lupton Fire Protection District Please continue to avoid the area.

Crew are on scene of an active fire on Country Road 28 and. Country Road 31. Please avoid the area while crews work to control the fire.

Update: All fire units have cleared the scene and both Hey 66 and WCR 19 are both now re opened. Thank you to our neighbors for the help Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District

Crews are currently on scene of a traffic accident that has Highway 66 closed in both directions as well as WCR 19 Eastbound at WCR 28. Please avoid the area while our crews work.

Update 15:40- Crews have cleared the scene. Main Street is reopened and ATMOS will remain on scene to complete repairs.

Crews are currently responding to an active gas leak. Atlas is on scene working with emergency crews to resolve the issue.

Main Street is closed between Reynolds Street and Grand Avenue. Please avoid the area and use alternate routes if possible.

Nearby homes have been evacuated as a precaution. There are no additional evacuations at this time.
