As our Fourth of July celebration comes to a close, I just want to say thank you—from the bottom of my heart.

It was truly inspiring to see our community come together to celebrate our nation's independence. From the smiles on children's faces, families enjoying the festivities, and the pride we all share in calling Plattsburgh home, this year's celebration reminded me just how fortunate we are to live in such a caring and loving community.

I want to offer my sincere gratitude to ALL of our City of Plattsburgh employees, police officers, firefighters, DPW crews, Community development staff, Beach staff, volunteers, sponsors, event organizers, and everyone who worked behind the scenes. Your long hours and dedication made this celebration possible, and our community is better because of your service. Emma you rocked it.

To our residents, thank you for your kindness, your patience, and your incredible community spirit. You are the heart of our city, and it is an honor to serve as your Mayor.

This Fourth of July was especially meaningful as we begin the journey toward America 250—a once-in-a-generation opportunity to celebrate 250 years of our nation's history, reflect on the sacrifices that have preserved our freedoms, and inspire the next generation to carry those ideals forward.

Thank you for making this celebration so special. Moments like these remind me why I love this city and the people who call it home.

As a first, special thanks to GP, handing out a product made right here in the city of Plattsburgh.

May God continue to bless the City of Plattsburgh, and may God bless the United States of America.

🇺🇸 Happy Fourth of July 🇺🇸

Today, we celebrate the birth of our nation and the ideals of freedom, democracy, and opportunity that continue to unite us. Here in Plattsburgh, we are proud of our rich history, our resilient community, and the generations of residents who have helped shape our city and our country.
As we gather with family, friends, and neighbors to celebrate Independence Day, let us also look ahead with excitement to America250—the commemoration of our nation's 250th anniversary. Over the coming year, we'll have the opportunity to honor our shared history, recognize those who have served our nation, and inspire the next generation to carry forward the values that define America.
I encourage everyone to enjoy today's festivities safely, support our local events, and take a moment to reflect on the freedoms we cherish and the responsibilities we share as citizens.
On behalf of the City of Plattsburgh, I wish you and your family a safe, joyful, and memorable Fourth of July.
Happy Independence Day! God bless Plattsburgh, and God bless the United States of America.
🇺🇸 Happy Fourth of July! 🎆

The kickoff ceremony for Relay for life Plattsburgh, as always was incredibly emotional, huge thank you to all the participants and sponsors that make this happen. The Foundation of CVPH honored Jim and Cindy Evans with the Larry W. Jeffords legacy award. They could not have picked anyone more deserving.

Big Thank you to all units participating in the joint City/Town of Plattsburgh 2nd Annual Memorial Day Parade. We had twice the number of entries this year and we’re looking forward to next year’s being even bigger yet.

It has come to our attention that one unit was displaying political material which was specifically against parade guidelines. We apologize for this, had it been noticed by the committee it would have been immediately removed. We will be reaching out to those involved, there is no place for this type of activity in our Memorial Day Parade.

Again, our sincere thanks for those participating. It is important to take the time to remember those that made the ultimate sacrifice to keep us safe and free!!!

Congratulations to all the graduates this weekend. The City of Plattsburgh is proud to celebrate two outstanding institutions that continue to shape tomorrow’s leaders. Your hard work, dedication, and achievements represent a bright future for our community and beyond.
We also had the privilege to honor some of the men and women who made these opportunities possible — the 28 veterans participating in this year’s first of four Honor Flights. Their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten, and it was truly meaningful to thank them for all they have done for our country.
Thank you to Presidents Enyedi and Knelly, along with your amazing staffs, for your leadership and commitment to higher education. Thank you as well to Executive Director Finnegan and the incredible volunteers and sponsors whose dedication makes these Honor Flights possible year after year.
It was a weekend filled with pride, gratitude, and community spirit in the City of Plattsburgh.
