As our Fourth of July celebration comes to a close, I just want to say thank you—from the bottom of my heart.
It was truly inspiring to see our community come together to celebrate our nation's independence. From the smiles on children's faces, families enjoying the festivities, and the pride we all share in calling Plattsburgh home, this year's celebration reminded me just how fortunate we are to live in such a caring and loving community.
I want to offer my sincere gratitude to ALL of our City of Plattsburgh employees, police officers, firefighters, DPW crews, Community development staff, Beach staff, volunteers, sponsors, event organizers, and everyone who worked behind the scenes. Your long hours and dedication made this celebration possible, and our community is better because of your service. Emma you rocked it.
To our residents, thank you for your kindness, your patience, and your incredible community spirit. You are the heart of our city, and it is an honor to serve as your Mayor.
This Fourth of July was especially meaningful as we begin the journey toward America 250—a once-in-a-generation opportunity to celebrate 250 years of our nation's history, reflect on the sacrifices that have preserved our freedoms, and inspire the next generation to carry those ideals forward.
Thank you for making this celebration so special. Moments like these remind me why I love this city and the people who call it home.
As a first, special thanks to GP, handing out a product made right here in the city of Plattsburgh.
May God continue to bless the City of Plattsburgh, and may God bless the United States of America.
