WISH FUND UPDATE

We have granted out first wish of 2018 to a local gentleman suffering from pancreatic cancer. We are able to send them down to Florida for a week to get away from the daily grind of such a difficult diagnosis. With all of the added expenses of dealing with cancer, Bernard & Kelli Christian would never have been able to do this on their own.
The Clinton County Board of Realtors is thrilled to be able to do this for such a deserving family.
This was made possible by the tremendous response we received at our Wish Fund Auction in October. We have funds to grant another 7-8 wishes this year. If you know someone living in Clinton County that would qualify for a wish, reach out!

The official number is in.......
we raised $30,000 for The Wish Fund at our Annual Charity Auction in October.
Much thanks to all of our donors and to all of you that came out & bid on the awesome auction items.
We now have $35,000 in the Fund to grant wishes for those in desperate need for a helping hand after being given the toughest diagnosis!

It is with very heavy hearts that we lost one of our Wish recipients on Sunday.
Tara & Judd Studley never got to go to Myrtle Beach with their 3 little boys. That was Tara's Wish. To watch her kids play, laugh and have fun.

Our deepest sympathies to her family, strength to Judd and prayers for all.

An update of what we have done so far to help our local families struggling with being given the toughest news of all.
Wish #1
We sent the Walker family to Disney for 4 nights. Airfare, hotel, park passes and spending money. They were thrilled to watch their son revel in the Star Wars park, made even more special by a local who went out of his way to make all their wishes come true after hearing about their trip. Thank you Mark Garrand!
Wish #2
We sent 82 year old Marion Bacon to Arlington to share in the burial of her deceased husbands best friend. A fellow World War 2 paratrooper.
Wish #3
We sent Andrew & Amanda Tripp to Old Forge, they stayed in a lakefront suite for 4 nights just to enjoy getting away and forgetting about Andrews illness.
Wish #4
We sent Sharron & Jimmy Rock to NY City, with their 4 daughters. Sharron always wanted to go to the Bronx Zoo. The 4 girls got a great taste of the city & all of its wild and wonderful vibes!
Wish #5
Joe Robidoux, a former Navy Seal, is off to Tennessee to visit his best friend and to spend 4 nights in a cabin retreat with his daughter and grandkids and going to enjoy 4 days at Dollywood.

All of this is made possible by the money raised at the Clinton County Board of Realtors Annual Auction. Every penny raised goes to funding these wishes.

We have just approved our 6th Wish❤️❤️

Joe Robidoux is a 71 year old former Navy Seal.
He is dealing with lung cancer that has spread to other areas.
His wish is to go to Tennessee and visit a childhood friend who he has not seen for years and then to go to Dollywood and spend some quality time with his grand kids.
The family is driving and we have purchased a lovely 4 bedroom cabin in the Smokey Mountains right next to the resort for 5 days
along with the spending money they will need.

All of this is made possible from the money we raise at our Annual Auction, being held this year on October 5th at Olive Ridleys.

We are in the midst of granting another family their wish.
Sharron Rock has been suffering from cancer almost her entire life. From a diagnosis with Hodgkins when she was 13 to now dealing with 2 years of stage 4 breast cancer.
Her wish is to go to the Bronx Zoo. She loves animals and we will be able to send her there with her husband Jim and their 4 daughters, ages 16, 14, 11 and 8.
They will enjoy the Bronx Zoo, Central Park Zoo, bus tours of Manhattan and much more.
For 3 days she will get to make memories with her family that will last all of them a lifetime.
These wishes are made possible by the great support of our community at our Annual Auction. Once again, it will be held Olive Ridleys on Thursday, October 5th.
Please come out and support our efforts to make a difference for others in need.
