I few weeks ago I had the opportunity to speak in a few of our JAG classes. JAG stands for Jobs for America’s Graduates, and it’s a new program, this year, at Plattsmouth High School. The class spent some time doing some mock trials and then invited me to come in and talk about being a Police Officer and a School Resource Officer. This is one of my favorite things about being an SRO, getting the opportunity to be in the classroom interacting with students. It’s really cool that PHS is still bringing in new and innovative programs for students to be successful. Thanks Mrs W. for the invite and thanks PHS for allowing me to be your School Reach Officer!

October is breast cancer awareness month. The Plattsmouth Police participate in the Nebraska Pink Patch Project, partner with local businesses, and joined forces with the Cass County Sheriff’s Department in designing and selling t-shirts, all in support of Project Pink’d, a local non-profit that helps women in Nebraska and Western Iowa learn to thrive despite their diagnosis.
PPD has successfully aided Project Pink'd in advancing its mission and vision over the years of our involvement. This would not be possible if it were not for the support of our valued partners and everyone who supported the project by purchasing a t-shirt or sweatshirt. For this support, we say thank you:
