The Career Academies at Plattsmouth High School were recognized by the Nebraska Department of Education as the Outstanding Rule 47 Career Academy Program. The award was presented during the Nebraska Career Education Conference held in Kearney, Nebraska, on June 9, 2026.

Representing Plattsmouth High School and the Career and Technical Education Department at the awards ceremony were Mrs. Liz LaSure, Dr. Tina Harvey, Mrs. Jana Shuey, and Mr. Randy Schroeder, who accepted the award on behalf of the district. This recognition highlights the continued success of PHS Career Academies in providing students with high-quality career exploration and workforce readiness opportunities.

*This is the second time that PHS has earned this award. PHS also earned this award in 2018.
