This profession is built on service, sacrifice, and commitment to others. Today, we stand with our law enforcement partners as they mourn one of their own.

Please keep Officer Mark Kula’s loved ones and the entire Plattsmouth Police Department family in your thoughts during this difficult time. Sending love to all! Thank you, Officer Kula!

"It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of Officer Mark Kula due to health reasons. Officer Kula served 45 years in law enforcement at the federal, state, and municipal levels, including his final assignment as a part-time officer with the Plattsmouth Police Department. Officer Kula was a dedicated public servant who loved his profession and left an impact that will be felt for years to come. Funeral arrangements are pending." - Chief Steve Rathman
