SAND BAGS are still available at the Plaucheville town hall. Bring your own shovel and you must fill them yourself. The trailer is located behind the town hall, just drive around to the back! Stay SAFE.

Plaucheville Volunteer Fire Department has received notification from Property Insurance Association of Louisiana (PIAL) that we have maintained our fire rating inside and outside the city limits of a 4 rating. This rating will be good for the next 5 years. A lot of hard work was done by the department to maintain this and we will continue to do so. You may want to get with insurance company to ensure that you are getting proper credit for this rating.

Feel good story! Home owner was asleep when awakened by their dog barking. When they got up to see why he was barking they found utility room full of smoke! Power was cut off, minimal damage and no one was hurt. That yellow lab was a hero!!!
