The prolonged stretch of heat will continue through the weekend with highs in the mid-to-upper 90s and heat indices of 100-105+ degrees. Overnight lows will only fall into the mid-to-upper 70s, which will not provide much relief from the heat. As such, an Extreme Heat Warning has been issued for all of northern MO through Saturday evening and for central MO through Tuesday evening.

The prolonged late season heat will continue through the remainder of the week and through the weekend. Highs are expected to rise into the mid 90s to near 100 with heat index values rising to 100-107. As such a heat advisory is in effect through Saturday evening.
