Update: A suspect has been apprehended after contacting the authorities on their own free will for the damage to the stage. The suspect has no knowledge of the damage to the little league building or the bike rack incident. If you have any information about either incident please contact the Pike County Sheriff's Department or a park board member.

We would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who has shared and given support during this unexplainable circumstance. We were already in the process of looking into some type of security cameras but these acts will be a driving force to get that accomplished.

It is unfortunate that this post has to be made and very frustrating. We have suffered more vandalism and destruction of property at our park. The little league building had some of the netting torn down and a lot of equipment thrown around. The amphitheater had one of the wing walls destroyed and a newly installed fan damaged. A few weeks ago there was a truck ramming the bike rack at the pool and then the bike rack was relocted to the Baptist church at some point. If you have any information about these incidents please contact the Pike County Sheriff's office or a park board member listed below. The park board is offering a $200 reward for information that leads to the conviction of the perpetrator or perpetrators of these incidents.

Pool Manager for 2025 - The Pleasant Hill Community Park is looking for a self motivated person to manage the Swimming Pool for the 2025 season. The Consolidated Election will be held on April 1, 2025. The Pleasant Hill Community Park District will have 2 openings for its 5 member board. Two 6-year terms. Petitions are available by contacting Lisa Wombles, 217-414-3816. These petitions require 25 signatures. Petitions are to be filed with me between November 12-18, 2024.
