Finding the right environment is one of the most important decisions you will ever make. We hope to relieve any anxiety you may have in finding the right placement for your family. Kids Kastle has been providing quality child care since 1982. Michelle Kingon Service started her career as child care provider at the age of 18. Michelle began by attending San Francisco State University and worked on
her degree in early childhood education. State Michelle was required to devote many hours at child care centers observing children at play. It was during this time that Michelle realized that she wanted more interaction and hands on experience with the children she cared for. She opened a family child care facility by the recommendation of her teacher at S.F. Right from the get go Michelle’s success in working with children and their families grew into almost three decades of unparalleled service. Michelle has helped providers all over the Bay Area develop quality child care centers. Because of this, Michelle has received the 1998 Soropomist Award for “Women Helping Women”. She was also recognized by the Mayor of Richmond, Rosemary Corbin, Congressman George Miller and District Supervisor Jim Rogers. Michelle continues to serve in the child care field by mentoring other providers, as well as being active with the Child Care Union. Michelle loves the gift of working with children so much she volunteered as a CCD (Confraternity of Christian Doctrine) teacher for 12 years at her local church. She currently serves on the board of the “Active Reading Clinic”. A wonderful program that helps untraditional learners, learn to read. And if that isn’t enough, she also was the Director of “Birthright,” a pregnancy support group where she volunteered for 14 years. Michelle is always trying to find ways of helping little people have happy childhoods. She spends a great deal of time staying in contact with most of her alumni’s by setting up play dates, reunions, outings, and because of the close bond she has created with the families, Michelle is now caring for the second generation of children that once was in her care. Michelle hopes to continue her work in early childhood education by providing a safe, happy place for children to grow.
