Earlier today, Pleasant Hill Officer Hoffman and K9 Ozlo, yeah that’s right K9 Ozlo 🐾 completed their training at Code Blue K9 LLC. Full certification through USPCA in standards of training and excellency, because this is what our community deserves and what we demand from ourselves.

K9 Ozlo and Officer Hoffman underwent a rigorous 12 weeks of training at the prestigious facility. K9 Ozlo is ready to serve the community of Pleasant Hill as a multipurpose functioning member of the Department.

Welcome back from training Officer Hoffman and K9 Ozlo! 🐾

K9 Ozlo was made possible through the generous donation by OZ Lifting Products LLC, who seek to aid agencies fulfill their mission in developing K9 programs. It is through their support our team can continue to grow and support our community on such a high level. We are truly grateful for your dedication to our Community, our Department, and other organizations, who are so positively impacted by your generosity. K9 Ozlo was one of three K9’s that graduated today on behalf of your generosity.

☀️🚸 Last day of school = first day of summer adventures. That also means more kids out walking, biking, scootering, and just randomly appearing out of nowhere like they have a respawn button. 😅

Please slow down in neighborhoods, stay off your phone, and keep an extra eye out for kids enjoying summer break.

Parents, a quick helmet and “look both ways” reminder goes a long way too.

ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE

The Iowa DOT has notified us of upcoming utility relocation work that will require a temporary closure of University Ave at the intersection of N Shadyview Blvd.

Closure begins: 10:00 PM tonight
Expected reopening: 5:00 AM Friday morning

During this time, please use the designated detour via NE 12th Ave. See the attached map for the full detour route.

We appreciate your patience as this necessary utility work is completed.
