💖 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Chief Ried attended the Michigan Association of Chiefs of Police New Executive School last week. Chief Ried puts an emphasis on training and education for all members of the department to keep Pleasant Ridge Police moving forward in positive directions. Congratulations to all the attendees of the MACP school.

Overnight from Sunday to Monday we had a report of unlocked cars that were entered. Officers Watters chased some suspect. They got away, but we did recover a personal item from one suspect.

This morning we were advised (by a third party that saw on Facebook) that another car was gone through last night.

Officers are investigating last night’s and Sunday’s incidents.

Please lock your car doors (all cars entered… were unlocked as far as we know).

While Facebook is great for Pleasant Ridge interactions and events, it’s not a way to report a crime to police. Pleasant Ridge Police does not monitor Facebook for crime reporting. Please report ANY incidents or suspicious people to the Police Department at 248-541-2900 (press 1 for a dispatcher). If you witness a crime in progress please call 911.
