I’m proud of my kids for so many reasons. This one came back from college today so she could vote. She turned 18 yesterday and the very first vote she cast was for her dad. She understands the importance of local elections. My heart is full!

You can still vote! Get there before the polls close.

Don’t worry Brandon, Woody, and Paul - she says she voted for you too!

ELECTION EVE:

Tomorrow we will know the next leaders to serve our beloved city. What’s certain is that at least two new commissioners will take their seats at the dais. We’ll say goodbye to two of Royal Oak’s most effective public servants - Sharlan Douglas and Melanie Macey. The positive impact of their contributions will be felt for generations to come. We owe them a debt of gratitude for their tireless efforts to make Royal Oak one of the best places to call home. I feel so blessed to call Shar and Melanie both colleagues and true friends.

So how do we move forward? The simple answer is to vote for Brandon Kolo, Woody Gontina, and Paul Bastian. These candidates bring more than experience; they share the same values that have made Royal Oak amazing. The times require smart, knowledgeable, empathetic, compassionate, truthful , thoughful and respectful leaders at the helm. Character matters. Integrity matters. Local elections matter. Join me in voting for these outstanding candidates!

Commissioner Brandon Kolo
Woody Gontina For Royal Oak City Commission
Paul Bastian for Royal Oak City Commissioner
