🚲 HELP US GET TWO LITTLE KIDS THEIR BIKES BACK! 🚲

Pleasant Valley, we could use a little community help!

Two children’s bicycles were taken from the curb in the N. Brookside area. The bikes had been left near the curb by the kiddos, and it’s very possible someone believed they had been placed there as free items.

Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case — and we have a couple of very disappointed little bike owners who would really love to have them back. ❤️

🔎 Bikes we’re looking for:
• 💗 Pink & black 18-inch bicycle with pink tires
• 🧡💙 Orange & blue Hot Wheels bicycle with training wheels

If you picked these bikes up believing they were being given away, no hard feelings — we’d just like to get them back to their young owners!

If you have the bikes or know where they may be, please contact the Pleasant Valley Police Department at 816-781-7373.

And please give this post a share. Sometimes a little community teamwork is all it takes to turn a couple of sad kiddos back into happy bike riders. 🚲💙

Let’s help get these bikes home!

🚨 Just after midnight, Pleasant Valley PD’s Officer McManus got an unexpected late-night cardio event. 🏃💨

A Missouri State Highway Patrol pursuit came to an end near T. Gabbert Road and Pleasant Valley Road. Apparently, the suspect decided that leaving the vehicle and testing out the neighborhood on foot was the next logical step.

Spoiler alert: It didn’t work.

Thanks to the outstanding teamwork between the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Pleasant Valley Police Department, and Claycomo Police Department, the suspect’s midnight sprint ended with a pair of bracelets instead of a finish line. 👮🚔

A big thank you to all of the officers who worked together to safely bring the incident to a close. Teamwork, communication, and a whole lot of determination made for a successful outcome.

And to our residents—thank you for your patience if you noticed the increased police activity overnight. While we hope your sleep wasn’t interrupted too much, we’re happy to report the situation was resolved safely.

As always… if you’re thinking about outrunning a radio, multiple police agencies, and a K-9’s sense of smell… you might want to rethink that game plan. 😉

Update! Well Pleasant Valley, you are just as good at returning two wheeled modes of transportation to their owners as you are four legged fur babies! This beauty is back with her rightful owner! Thank you!

🚲 FOUND: One Tiny Purple Getaway Vehicle 🚲

Well, well, well… it appears someone made a very hasty escape.

This little purple bicycle was discovered hiding behind a vacant home in the 8800 block of North Road. We aren’t saying it’s guilty of anything, but it was found trying to blend in behind a tree. 👀🌳

Our working theories include:
🚴 It was borrowed without permission.
🚴 It wandered off looking for adventure.
🚴 It lost a game of hide-and-seek.
🚴 It simply got tired and needed a nap.

Thankfully, one of our wonderful community members rescued it before it could embark on any more suspicious adventures. It’s currently being kept safe, but we’d really like to reunite it with its rightful rider—especially if there’s a little one wondering where their wheels disappeared to.

If this bicycle belongs to you (or you know who it belongs to), or if you know who it belongs to, please contact the Pleasant Valley Police Department at 816-781-7373. We’ll make sure this tiny traveler gets home where it belongs.

Let’s solve this “wheel-y big mystery” and get this little ride back where it belongs! 💜🚲

Proof of ownership may be requested… because even bicycles deserve proper identification. 😉
