February is Black History Month, and we want to make sure the kids in our community are able to learn about some of the amazing people of color in our nation’s history. We have a handful of biographies for children of Katherine Johnson, Jackie Robinson, Sojourner Truth, and Harriet Tubman. We also have a couple middle-grade historical-fiction novels such as “Bud, Not Buddy,” and “The Watsons Go to Birmingham” by award-winning writer Christopher Paul Curtis.

📚We are excited to share that we are having a Narnian November! We are placing a couple copies of the complete set of the Chronicles of Narnia, an audiobook set of the books, and a couple picture books about C.S. Lewis in the library.

But that’s not all!! We have 5 passports for the first 5 people who ask us for one. These beautiful passports by include spots for stickers when you complete each book! Whoever can show us a filled-in passport will get a Golly G’s gift card!

Spiders don’t have to be spooky or scary. Some turn out to be incredibly friendly and helpful. Charlotte’s Web is a perfectly spun story for fall, and children are bound to love the unlikely friendship between a spelling spider and a petite pig. Come pull out the copy at the library and enjoy this classic with your kids!
