This morning at 7:52 AM, the Pleasant View Tennessee Police Department was dispatched to the Winding Way area near Community Park for a missing person with dementia. Our first officer was on scene in under 2 minutes. We then "flooded" the area. (Pun intended on this rainy day)

Very shortly, we had over 25 government employees and volunteers on scene, coordinating a search. We used every available resource from helicopters, drones, K-9's, foot searches, social media, camera canvassing, empty building checks and more.

We located the vulnerable adult around 9:14 AM.

This amazing outcome and intense response would not have been possible without the community efforts, and mutual aid with Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department , Cheatham County EMS, Cheatham County Sheriff's Office, Cheatham County Emergency Management, Robertson County Emergency Management, and Cheatham County 911.

When we come together as a team, the community benefits.

Thank you to all the agencies that responded and Thank you to the community for supporting us during these important incidents.

Motorcycles are gliding out of their homes for the summer. Let's remember to follow the speed limits so they can continue to glide.

-Dress for the slide, not the ride.

-Helmets are required in Tennessee.

-Give Motorcycles space for emergency lane changes. That same pothole in a car, could end a life on a bike.

-Lane filtering/splitting is illegal in Tennessee. Especially so at speed.
