PVVFD would like to thank THP, CCSO, EMA, CCEMS, TEMA & CC Dispatch for a successful search and rescue of a missing 60 year old man who had been kayaking Sycamore Creek. The gentleman was supposed to meet his friends at the Clarksville Hwy (41A) Bridge Saturday before dark after traveling up stream from the bridge at Hwy 49 but didn’t quite make it to his rendezvous.
Special thanks to PVVFD’s Seth Parks for the use of his ATV during the search. THP’s Lieutenant Lund found the man while searching in his helicopter around 4am Sunday morning. The gentleman was sitting in his canoe covered up by his tarp and we are thankful to announce that he is doing well.

What an amazing night as our Explorer Post 602 donned & learned all about SCBA (self contained breathing apperattus). These kids are amazing!
We are also pleased to announce Explorer Post 602 has 3 companies with 3 Commanders leading their way! Students were given the opportunity to tell us what leadership meant to them. Five were chosen to go through the interview process & although they were all VERY strong candidates 3 emerged as our new Commanders. Congratulations Trevor Fortner, Ben Scott & Gavin Wilson!
