The Pleasanton Fire Department Was dispatched to a major motor vehicle accident at the intersection of FM 1784 and East Highway 97.
Please use caution if you're traveling in the area and consider taking alternate routes. The roadway is currently closed and will remain closed until further notice while emergency crews work to assist those involved and safely clear the scene.

Yesterday, the Pleasanton Fire Department had the honor of hosting INK for a fun and educational visit to our station!
The kids learned about the importance of fire safety, including ways to stay safe at home and what to do in the event of a fire. They also had the opportunity to tour the fire station, see our fire apparatus up close, and meet the firefighters who proudly serve our community.
Thank you to INK for spending the day with us. We always enjoy opportunities like this to connect with our community and help teach the next generation about fire safety. We hope everyone had as much fun as we did!

The members of Pleasanton Fire Department extend our deepest condolences to the Odessa Fire Rescue family following the loss of one of their own.
The fire service is a brotherhood and sisterhood that reaches far beyond city limits. Today, we mourn alongside Odessa as they grieve the loss of a dedicated firefighter who answered the call to serve others with courage and selflessness.
Please keep the firefighter's family, friends, and the entire Odessa Fire Rescue family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Today is about honoring the men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting others. The early mornings, the late nights, the tough calls, and the sacrifices made for complete strangers none of it goes unnoticed.
This job takes heart, grit, and a strong sense of purpose. Proud to stand alongside those who answer the call no matter what.

On March 31 at approximately 12:49 PM, the Pleasanton Fire Department was dispatched to the intersection of 2nd St and Adams St for a tractor-trailer fire.

Engine 1, Brush 1 and Chief 1 responded to the scene. Upon arrival, crews found a tractor-trailer with its dump bed extended, which had made contact with an electrical line.

With assistance from the Pleasanton Police Department and AEP, the fire was successfully extinguished. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
