⚠️ Pleasanton residents should be prepared for hot, dry, and windy conditions over the next several days.

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for parts of the East Bay and a Heat Advisory for the region. We encourage residents to stay informed, practice fire safety, and take precautions to stay cool during the hottest part of the week.

💧Water Wednesday: Time Your Watering Right💧

When you water can be just as important as how much you water.

To reduce evaporation and make the most of every drop, water your landscape between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. when temperatures are cooler and winds are typically lower.

Watering during the cooler parts of the day helps your plants get the moisture they need while using water more efficiently.

🎵 What a Special Afternoon at Delucchi Park 🎵

Yesterday, community members, friends, family, artists, musicians, and local leaders gathered for the unveiling of the Don Lewis Harmonic Symphony, a new interactive public artwork honoring Don Lewis, a pioneering musician, inventor, educator, and longtime Pleasanton resident.

The incredible turnout was a testament to Don’s lasting impact on Pleasanton and the many lives he touched through his creativity, innovation, mentorship, and passion for music education.

Designed to be explored and played by visitors of all ages, the Don Lewis Harmonic Symphony celebrates the power of music through hands-on exploration and shared musical experiences.

The sculptural centerpiece, Maestro!, created by artist Anton Standteiner and the team at Mountain Forge, serves as a lasting tribute to Don’s remarkable legacy.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this memorable celebration and to Nancy and Gary Harrington’s H.A.P.P.Y. program and the Pleasanton Cultural Arts Council for helping bring this project to life.

💧 Water Wednesday: Water Smarter, Not Longer 💧

Did you know that watering too quickly can cause runoff and waste water?

Try the cycle and soak method to help your landscape absorb water more efficiently. Instead of running your irrigation system for one long cycle, split watering into shorter cycles with breaks in between. This allows water to soak into the soil rather than running off onto sidewalks, streets, or driveways.

A few extra minutes of planning can help save water while keeping your landscape healthy.
