The Pleasanton City pool offers a fun, cool, relaxing way to spend the long hot summers.

We offer a variety activities including swim lesson, water aerobics, and even private parties! We are located at the Pleasanton Sports Complex down the same street as the Pleasanton Primary School by the baseball fields. Prices:

4 years old and under: $1
5 years to 17 years old: $2
18 years to 54 years old: $3

55 years and up: $2

Open Swim hours:

Tuesday - Thursday: 12pm-5pm
Friday - Sunday: 12pm-6pm

Pool Rules:

-Children under the age of 14 yrs old must be accompanied by an adult
-All persons must shower before entering pool
-All persons must comply with orders of the lifeguards
-No outside food or drinks
-No one with a cold sore or infection may enter pool
-No Spitting or blowing nose in pool
-No running or wrestling allowed on sidewalks or pool area
-Diving at permitted areas only
-Only one person allowed on diving board
-Swimming permitted only when lifeguard is on duty
-No alcoholic drinks permitted in pool area
-No profanity permitted
-Only regulation bathing suits allowed in pool area
-No pets allowed
-No Styrofoam floats allowed in pool
-No refunds due to weather
-No bills over $20

We appreciate the patience and understanding of our community as we navigated through these unforeseen circumstances.

We are tentatively planning to reopen on Tuesday, August 4!

We are working to get the water clear and chemically safe for swimmers. We’ll provide another update as we get closer to reopening.

📢 City Pool Closure Notice - Remainder of this Week 📢

The Pleasanton City Pool will be closed for the remainder of this week due to maintenance on the pool's circulation system.

The pool will be closed beginning today, Thursday 23, 2026 through the end of the week. We currently anticipate reopening on Tuesday, July 28, with Open Swim beginning at 12:00 p.m.

Our team is working to complete the necessary repairs as quickly and safely as possible.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to get the pool back up and running. We look forward to welcoming everyone back next week!

The pool will be closed on Sunday, June 28 🚫 for scheduled cleaning and maintenance to help keep the facility clean and safe for everyone.

The pool will reopen Tuesday, June 30 at 8am.

The Pleasanton City Pool will officially open tomorrow, Tuesday, June 23, at 8:00 AM!

We want to thank our community for your patience, understanding, and support as we worked to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. We are excited to welcome you back for a fun-filled summer!

Please note: The deep end will be temporarily closed due to reduced water visibility from recent heavy rainfall. This is being done to ensure a safe swimming environment for all guests.

🏊 Pool Update 🏊

We know many of you are looking forward to the pool opening, and we appreciate your patience.

City staff are working with pool specialists to restore water clarity and ensure the pool is safe for reopening. For the safety of our swimmers, the pool will remain closed until the water is clear enough for lifeguards to see the entire pool floor and all water chemistry standards are met.

At this time, swim lessons and water aerobics have also been paused until further notice.

We will continue to provide updates as they become available and look forward to opening the pool as soon as it is safe to do so. Thank you for your understanding!

🌧️ City Pool Opening Delayed Due to Weather Conditions

Due to inclement weather and the safety of our residents in mind, the City Pool will not open June 16 as previously anticipated.

The safety of our residents and staff remains our top priority. We will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates regarding opening day.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support.

🏊 Pool Opening Update 🏊

We want to provide an update regarding the Pleasanton Municipal Pool.

During final preparations for the season, a manufacturing-related defect was identified within a component of the pool’s filtration system. The issue has been confirmed by the manufacturer and corrective work has been completed under warranty.

To ensure the pool is operating properly and ready for public use, the opening of the pool will be further delayed and will not be opening June 9th.

We understand this is disappointing news and appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we work through this process. Additional updates will be shared as they become available.
