Bay Area SMACNA represents over 225 union sheet metal and air conditioning contractors in the seventeen Northern California counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, Del Norte, Humboldt, Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Monterey, Napa, San Benito, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma, and Trinity. In 2008 our Members' firms provided employment opportunities totaling in excess of 6,000

,000 man-hours throughout the Bay Area. We represent only signatory employers and are part of a National Association of over 1900 contracting firms and 104 local chapters throughout the United States. Our firms employ union sheet metal workers and are signatory through our association to a labor agreement with Sheet Metal Workers International Association--Local 104 (SMWIA).

Don’t miss out on the CAL SMACNA SAFETY AWARDS

All applicants who qualify will receive a plaque and be listed on CAL SMACNA’s website. In addition to a plaque, a $250 check will be given to those with the best safety record in each manhours worked category. The awards will be presented at the 59th Annual Convention at the President’s Awards Luncheon on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at the Ojai Valley Inn in Ojai, California.

The safety award program is a great way to recognize the achievements of your safety program and a useful marketing tool to show potential clients that safety is important to your company’s success.

REMINDERS TO ALL MEMBERS
If your company had over 10 employees at any time during the previous year, you are required to post your 2024 Cal/OSHA Form 300A Summary in an area visible to employees from February 1st to April 30th.
OSHA requires the 2024 Form 300A data to be filed electronically no later than March 2, 2025 for those companies who met these conditions at any time during the 2024 calendar year:
All establishments with 250 or more employees, unless specifically exempted by section 14300.2 of Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations
Establishments with 20 to 249 employees in the specific industries listed in Appendix H of Cal/OSHA’s regulations regarding occupational injury and illness records.

The Bay Area SMACNA Scholarship Trust Golf Tournament is filling up!
Sign up now to save your spot!
Registration is limited to the first 144 players. The tournament will only be played on the Hill Course and is expected to fill quickly, players will not be confirmed until payment is received. If you would like to pay by check instead of online please reach out to Liz Heaney in the BAS office.
If you sign up for a sponsorship that includes golf please note that if you as the registrant are playing, you need to also include yourself as an attendee.
(Proper golf attire is required. Denim is not permitted on the golf course.)
Associate members: Don’t forget that your credit from your paid 2024 dues can be applied to your sponsorship to play at check out.
** Please note that attendee name and shirt sizes are required to check out.
