Dogs are like silent therapy. They know how to heal you without ever saying a word. Their physical presence can be as soothing to the mind as deep meditation. There are many dogs at the shelter waiting for a chance to become your own personal therapist, and many are ready to go home immediately.

Hank, the lovable lug from the Atlantic County Animal Shelter, recently volunteered his time visiting patients at the Meadowview Nursing Home in Northfield. Our boy spent a couple of hours sharing his sparkling personality with everyone. He enjoyed getting pets & treats and giving love, joy, and kisses to the staff and residents.

Hank is a 2 YO Bully mix; he walks well on leash and knows some basic commands. He loves riding in the car and belly rubs. He is available for adoption at the Atlantic County Animal Shelter in Pleasantville NJ. 240 Old Turnpike Road. 609-485-2345.
