The Mount Pleasant Public Library strives to be a warm and welcoming center of discovery: through books, media and programming we hope to connect people to ideas, and to each other, in order to enrich their lives and the overall life of the community. The Library is a joint municipal library supported by the Town of Mount Pleasant and Village of Pleasantville. The Library received its charter from

NY State in 1965 and serves residents, students and workers in the Town of Mount Pleasant, outside the incorporated villages, and the Village of Pleasantville. The Main Library is located in the Village of Pleasantville, at the intersection of Bedford Road and Romer Avenue. The Branch Library is in the Town of Mount Pleasant Recreation center on Lozza Drive.

Our mobile app (MPPL Mobile) has been experiencing issues with our catalog search. As we work to resolve it, we have modified the app to link out to the public catalog. This will allow you to search our catalog, but you will need to log in to your account to place holds.

Unfortunately, there is also currently a county-wide issue with the public catalog running slowly and sometimes timing out on searches. WLS is actively working to resolve this issue, but in the meantime please feel free to call the Main or Valhalla Branch Libraries to request a hold if you’re having issues.
