This year, for Rock the Walk, Mrs. Snyder-Chase challenged students to raise at least $24,000 in pledges in order for her to complete a principal challenge.

Our students knocked it out of the park, raising $27,647.26!!

Today, Mrs. Snyder-Chase made good on her promise to spend the day with snakes. A huge thank you to the UWSP Herpetology Society for helping us to make good on this promise.

All students had the opportunity to learn about corn snakes and ball pythons, as well as the opportunity to touch a snake if they chose. It was a great day full of learning and celebration.

Our goal is to not only make their party run smooth but to also allow the 6th grade teachers to be as hands off as possible so that they can just enjoy their students.

From the tiny kindergarten tables of Roosevelt to the graduation stage, these young adults have so much to be proud of.

We are so proud of each of you. Congratulations Class of 2026!!

What an amazing two days at the 2026 Gene LaRose Elementary Track Meet.

Our Roadrunners ran, threw, tugged, jumped and so much more. And while the medals they are bringing home are something to be proud of, those are not what I am focusing on.

As a principal, many things make me proud of my students. The things that make me most proud are when they show their greatness through kindness, sportsmanship, support, joy, and being great human beings.

Roosevelt brought home the 2026 Spirit Jug because our Roadrunners shone bright in their many greatnesses. While I’m proud of the athletic accomplishments, my heart is bursting with joyful pride for the amazing show of spirit and sportsmanship from these kids this week.

Well done, 5th and 6th graders, well done.

Our Roadrunners had an amazing first day at the annual Gene LaRose Track Meet. We are so proud of their cheering, running, tugging and so much more.

On to day 2 and hopefully the spirit jug!

What an absolutely amazing day! The weather was perfect, the energy was high, and it all led to a very successful Rock the Walk.
