Daniel R. Mahoney Conservancy Closure – August 31
The Daniel R. Mahoney Conservancy, located at 4247 CTH R, will be closed to the public beginning at 7:00 AM on Monday, August 31, 2026.

Wisconsin Public Service (WPS) will begin work on the Stevens Point 975 Lateral Capacity Improvement Project. A portion of the existing natural gas line runs beneath the conservancy. The closure is necessary to allow WPS to safely complete the project.

Today marks the final shift for one of our full-time Paramedics, Zac Kreklow. After two years of dedicated service, Zac is trading Wisconsin winters for the sunshine and warm weather of Florida, where he will continue his career in emergency services.

Thank you, Zac, for your service to the Village of Plover and our community. It has been an absolute pleasure, and we will miss having you on the team, but we wish you nothing but the best as you begin this next chapter!

Good luck and safe travels... enjoy all that sunshine and warm weather!!! β˜€οΈπŸŒ΄πŸš‘

Great job Ethan.

Great job Ethan.

Time for a Community Shout-Out! πŸ‘

Today we'd like to recognize Fire/EMS Captain and Village of Plover Building Inspector Ethan Meddaugh, who is spending the day in Menasha assisting fellow building inspectors from across the state conduct damage assessments following the devastating EF-3 tornado that took place on July 27th.

Public service extends far beyond the boundaries of our own community. When disaster strikes, communities come together, and dedicated professionals step up to help wherever they're needed. Today, Ethan is using his knowledge and expertise to support recovery efforts and help those affected begin the long process of rebuilding.

We are incredibly proud of his willingness to serve others, answer the call for help, and represent both the Plover Fire Department and the Village of Plover with professionalism and compassion. While we know that he would not want any recognition for this, please join us in thanking Ethan, and all of the first responders, inspectors, public works crews, and volunteers working tirelessly to help the Menasha community recover.

Stay safe today, Ethan, and thank you for your service! ❀️
