A bird? A plane? A librarian in a dinosaur costume…? 🦕🦖📚

Jenna and Krissa had a great time visiting the elementary school this morning to tell students all about our Summer Reading Program! We know the kids will have lots of exciting stories to share about their last day of school, and we hope some of them tell their grown-ups about our visit, too!

Don’t forget — our Summer Reading Kickoff Party is coming up on Thursday, June 11, from 4-6PM. Join us for face painting, treats, goodie bags, reading logs, and plenty of summer fun.

We can’t wait to see you there!

Check out our summer calendars and get ready for a season full of reading, activities, and fun at the library. Full Summer Reading pamphlets with additional information are available at the circulation desk.

Printed copies are also being sent home with elementary students, so be sure to watch for them.

Explore MORE is back again for the 5th year! From June 1 - August 31, pick up a passport at the circulation desk and start exploring MORE libraries. Collect stickers on your passport to earn chances to win prizes. For all ages -- one passport per person.

We have the coziest back deck, and it just got even better!

A few weeks ago, we posted that we were looking for a table and chairs for this space, and today we got a special delivery! We’d like to thank Joanne Hovey, who was determined to find the perfect set for us. We are so grateful for her generosity and can’t wait for everyone to enjoy it!

We never stop being amazed by the support and kindness of our community.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month! We will have a limited number of Mental Health Take-Home Kits available starting tomorrow (5/15) while supplies last. Included in each kit:

• Stress ball
• Blank journal & pen
• Coloring pages
• Air-dry clay
• Mini canvas
• Chamomile tea
• Book list/bookmark
• 211 information card
• One paint pod & brush (for the canvas/air-dry clay)

We are librarians, not medical professionals. This kit is intended to offer a few creative and comforting tools that may support your mental health and well-being. There is no right or wrong way to use this kit!

Reminder! This Saturday (5/16) is our LAST Saturday open before summer!

We plan to add Saturday hours back following Labor Day weekend, but we’ll be reviewing usage statistics at our June Library Board meeting.
