🌱 Now Hiring: District Manager – Benewah Soil & Water Conservation District
Location: Plummer, Idaho
Hours: 15–20 hours per week (flexible schedule)
Compensation: Pay DOE (Depending on Experience)
Are you passionate about natural resources, agriculture, and conservation in your community? Benewah Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) is seeking a motivated and self-directed individual to serve as our District Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
• Administer and apply for grants to support conservation initiatives
• Build and maintain partnerships for local conservation projects
• Coordinate annual tree seedling sales
• Lead outreach and education activities
• Travel to approved events and conduct project site visits
• Perform financial duties using QuickBooks
• Support crop signage programs and other district-led projects

Preferred Qualifications:
• Proficient in QuickBooks and general bookkeeping practices
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Familiarity with non-profit or local government administration
• Strong background in agriculture and natural resources
• Confident in public speaking and clear written/oral communication
• Experience managing social media platforms for outreach
• Organized, proactive, and able to work independently

Join Benewah SWCD, Idaho Department of Lands, and UI Extension, Benewah County Friday, March 28th at the Plummer Community Center (520 C Street, Plummer, Idaho) for an engaging and hands-on Successful Tree Planting Class!

During this session, you will learn everything you need to know about:

🌿 Choosing & Planting Forest Tree Seedlings
🌿 Responding to Threats to Seedling Survival
🌿 Financial & Technical Assistance for Tree Planting
🌿 Field Activities – Get your hands dirty while planting trees and understanding their care!

Whether you're new to tree planting or looking to expand your knowledge, this class will provide you with all the tools to successfully grow your own forest. 🌍
