The City of Plummer is pleased to announce that the Boil Water Order has been officially lifted.

The necessary water quality testing has been completed, and all test results came back good. Water consumers may resume normal use of the City’s water supply.

We appreciate everyone’s patience, cooperation, and understanding while the City worked through this issue.

IMPORTANT UPDATE-ALL WATER CONSUMERS-AUGUST 10,2026
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
The City of Plummer would like to inform residents that, due to unforeseen circumstances, the original water out affected the entire City water system rather than the isolated area that was scheduled for an outage on Monday, August 10,2026.

As a precaution and in the interest of public health and safety, the City recommends observing a BOIL WATER ORDER beginning at 8am on Monday, August 10,2026 and continuing until approximately 2:00pm on Wednesday, August 12,2026 or until the City announces that the order has been lifted.

PUBLIC NOTICE
Water Main Connection & Boil Water Order

The City of Plummer would like to inform residents that Contractors/City crews will be connecting a new water main located on 8th street between “K” and “M” Street on Monday, August 10, through Tuesday, August 11.

During this work, customers in this area may experience water pressure fluctuations or temporary depressurization within the water distribution system.

As a precaution, the City recommends observing a Boil Water Order beginning at 08:00 a.m. on Monday, August 10, and continuing until approximately 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11.

During the advisory, residents are encouraged to bring water to a rolling boil for at least one (1) minute before using it for:
• Drinking
• Preparing food or beverages
• Brushing teeth
• Making ice
• Washing fruits and vegetables

The City will continue to monitor the system throughout the project and will provide updates as work progresses.

💧 WATER CONSERVATION REQUEST
The City of Plummer is asking all residents and businesses to please do their part to conserve water.
Due to the current drought conditions, the State of Idaho has informed us of the need to be mindful of our water usage. Every effort to conserve water helps protect our community’s water supply and ensures that we have adequate water available for essential needs.
Please consider taking simple steps to conserve water, such as:
• Limiting lawn and garden watering
• Fixing leaking faucets, toilets, and pipes
• Taking shorter showers
• Only running dishwashers and washing machines with full loads
• Avoiding unnecessary outdoor water use
We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and commitment to helping conserve our community’s water resources during these dry conditions.
