: Charleston Fire Union President John Baker has been fired from the city after an internal investigation found violations of workplace conduct.
Baker’s firing comes just weeks after a Live 5 Investigation reported on mold and unsafe conditions at over half of Charleston’s fire stations.
The city says Baker used a racial slur in reference to visiting Saudi firefighters who were participating in a department training program, which is one reason behind his termination.
