Application for Solar Exemption
Starting in the 2025 tax year, we will begin to assess the value of solar systems, which will increase your property's assessed value.

The Town of Plymouth has a Solar Energy Systems Exemption. This exemption can remove 100% of the assessed value of your solar system. To receive this exemption, you must fill out an application and submit it to the Assessing Office by April 15, 2025.

If we do not receive your application by this date, you will be assessed the full value of your solar system for the 2025 tax year. Remember, it is your responsibility to submit this application; the solar company will not do it for you.

To apply, follow these steps: Available at Town Hall.

1. Complete the Permanent Application for Property Tax Credits/Exemptions:

- Step 1: Owner and Applicant Name and Address

- Step 5: Ownership

- Step 6: Signatures

2. Fill out and sign the RSA 72:62 Exemption for Solar Energy Systems Exemption Worksheet. Available at Town Hall.

Please return both forms to the Selectmen’s Office at the Town Hall, along with a copy of your purchase or lease agreement with the solar company.

If you have any questions, call Terri Lee Jansky, Assessor Assistant at 603-536-1731 x100
