How do you prepare for the Nebraska Cornhuskers football and volleyball seasons? Well we listened to stories, watched Herbie Husker + Little Red having a dancing contest, and of course got goose bumps watching the tunnel walk. Dave's cousin Lorie Anderson Drake, a Serious Husker fan, drove to Plymouth from Lincoln to pump up our Littles for another season of our GO BIG RED sporting seasons. Video clips and artwork followed the stories, while enjoying some yummy treats. Definitely the favorite was watching Little Red bouncing on his head! What a hoot! Thanks Lorie for bringing the books and sharing your passion for reading and our favorite Husker sports! The next Storytime in the Plymouth Library will be on WED September 30. We would love to see you in a month!

The Plymouth Library will have its Storytime on WED AUG 26 at 10:00 am. As the Huskers prepare to start their seasons, our stories will relate to our beloved Husker sports teams. Lorie Anderson Drake will journey to Plymouth from Lincoln with stories, activities, and treats as always. We would love to have you join us! Go Big Red!

Please note that the Plymouth Library will serve root beer floats and brownies w ice cream on Saturday Aug 15 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The original Plymouth Days flyer indicated starting time at 1:00 pm. Free will offering. Stop by for a cool treat!

Nebraska 2027 commit Shaye Witherspoon is expected to miss her senior high school season after undergoing knee surgery in May, according to the St. Louis Post Dispatch.

The 6 foot 3 outside hitter is ranked as the No. 7 prospect in the 2027 recruiting class and is considered one of Nebraska's top future additions.

While the recovery timeline is expected to keep her off the court for her final prep season, the focus now shifts to a full recovery before the next chapter of her volleyball career.

Wishing Shaye a successful recovery and hoping to see her back on the court stronger than ever.
